Mini Book Review: FINDING RADICAL WHOLENESS, by Ken Wilber

This is a great starting point if you want to engage with Wilber's work.

Wilber’s meta-theory of every developmental model is complex, but in this book he breaks down five concurrent processes that do not drive each other. There’s:

WAKING UP: Five states, from feelings of oneness to complete satori, which can take a life time if ever achieved—though 60% of people have achieved that first state of feeling “oneness” at some point in their life.

GROWING UP: The focus of our podcast conversation, with the hope that the Integral stage can become the growing edge of culture, transcending and including every stage that’s come before in a beautiful, pragmatic, and paradigmatic way. (Right now, we are experiencing the clash of GREEN and RED—GREEN is fracturing a bit, but hopefully as the means for ushering in Integral (TEAL), which will include GREEN’s healthy values (along with the healthy values of every other level). Wilber wrote a very slim book called TRUMP AND A POST-TRUTH WORLD that explains the psychological undercurrents very clearly, specifically how Trump’s entire campaign is anti-GREEN, fueled and made easy by GREEN’s contempt for RED.

The other states, which we didn’t discuss are OPENING UP, SHOWING UP, and CLEANING UP.
