The maze concept is really insightful and I think it becomes a very comfortable and familiar area to live in unfortunately. I just pre ordered thanks for writing about it

I couldn't sleep last night for grappling with what seems to be my destiny. Synchronicity pulled me to this article--when I finally left my bed for the couch--which was the perfect medicine. Thank you for giving me this wisdom, "constant work, pain, and uncertainty...for the rest of your life" It's exactly what I needed to hear.

Forward motion is one of my go's from the Tools. Saving this! "As Stutz also says, the antidote to evil is not goodness—the antidote to evil is creativity. He doesn’t mean creativity in the context of painting a canvas or writing a book—he means creativity in the context of generating forward motion in your life. And we can’t do that when we’re stuck in the Maze. It feels like there’s a lot of evil in the world right now, and the only response is creativity."

The line that stood out to me was, "I think we need to shift our mindset from engaging in grievances and outrage emotionally to pursuing putting ourselves in forward motion." I know when I am intentional about this, both personally and as part of the collective, I have so much more agency in my life. And it can just be little things like putting my phone down and picking up the book I'm reading, reaching out to a friend, or going for a walk. Thanks for the work you do Elise.

This is helpful. And while I do like the idea of creativity as the antidote to evil, the idea of generating forward movement just sounds like more hustle culture? I suppose I need to read the book(s), but would love any insight from those that know Stutz better than me!

No, def not promoting hustle culture, it's more about engaging with life and getting your Life Force revved—Phil would say that God doesn't care what you do (or any word for God/energy that you like, he uses God), or how successful you are, just that you're putting yourself in the flow of life and moving forward. Definitely NOT about output.
